Gabby Young & Other Animals are well known for their breakthrough album 'We're All In This Together' of 2009 fusing jazz-tinged folk gypsy, pop, and rock, all tinged with a touch of burlesque.

Gabby asked Uglylovely to come up with an original design for a headpiece to complement her stage wear. We wanted to emphasise the burlesque roots of this quirky, charismatic singer, so went in the style of a showgirl feather headdress. We chose red feathers and heavy silk bows to make the base of the design almost an extension of her wonderful lustrous red hair. Then we added peacock feathers to give height and drama.
